The Razor Story
Razor Recordings was established in June 2007 by two fast rising, Hard Dance star DJ’s & Producers from the midlands, Steve-NRG & the late LT1. Razor was originally created as Vinyl output with an aim to push some of the midlands fast growing Hard House music talent, as well as their own.
Razor’s popularity and brand grew quickly leading to signings from some of the UK's leading Hard Dance players such as Rodi Style, Tom Parr and Riggsy.

During the late noughties Razor was involved in countless events and tour parties across the UK. The growing popularity led to a new label and chapter the Razor Saga, ‘Test Lab Recordings’. The first release from Test lab called 'We Keep It Turning' by Steve-NRG & Riggsy went straight to No. 1 in the Banging Tunes Vinyl charts and brought a promising start and exciting times to look forward to.

When the digital revolution started to creep in the Razor looked to cater for all DJs needs and launched Digital Razor with an aim of bringing the best Digital music to the masses.

In 2013 Razor's sister label, 'C'est La Vit Records' was born. The concept of bringing music inspired by the late Hard House pioneer Tony De Vit, and the legendary nightclub 'Trade'. This was a different feel to Razor Recordings and would be the perfect contrast.
Eighteen years on and the sad passing of former founder LT1, the label looks to begin a new chapter in its ever-growing story. Relaunching all three original labels, Razor Recordings, C'est La Vit Records and Test Lab Recordings. Along with new labels crossing into new genres of dance music on the horizon.
Razor Recordings has signed new music with events in production, bringing everything at 'The Cutting Edge of Hard House!'.
